In Bangalore I tasted coconut berfi many times and slowly slowly it has become my favourite. I always wanted to learn how they are made. Through blogs I got to know that all I need is just condensed milk and shredded coconut :). Well instead of making berfi I made laddu which came out so well that when I served to guest than they asked "Bhawana, from where did you buy? I smiled and said I made them at home :D." Well these are my measurements and version which is being posted here.
Ingredients: Sufficient For Making 10 Laddus
2 Cup fresh shredded coconut+ 1/2 cup for rolling on the laddu
3/4 Tin condensed milk
5-6 Cardamom
Raisins
Method: Fry the shredded coconut in a sauce pan on low flame for few min to get rid of the raw smell of coconut.
Add cardamom powder and condensed milk and stir it until the mixture thickens.
After some time mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan. Now remove it from the heat and make small laddu/balls while mixture is warm. Roll over the dry coconut and decorate with raisins :). Serve and eat :)))))).Labels: Dessert, Festive, Kidsfriendly, Sweet
